Patient Guide

What to know before you consult

This guide is general information, not medical advice. It exists so you can read a surgeon profile with context — and so this site can be honest about what it does and does not publish.

This site does not publish doctor pricing

Individual surgeon profiles never list prices. Pricing varies by surgeon, facility, anesthesia, and the specifics of a procedure, and a number on a directory page would go stale fast. For rough orientation only, public research in 2026 put typical Arizona ranges around:

ProcedureTypical Arizona range (orientation only)
Breast augmentation$6,500 – $12,000
Mommy makeover$15,000 – $25,000

These are broad public ranges, not quotes. Your actual quote comes from the surgeon's office after consultation, and it is the only number that counts.

How to verify certification yourself

Look up any surgeon in the American Board of Plastic Surgery directory at abplasticsurgery.org. That is the same directory this site checked directly for 88 surgeons. If a profile here says “Claimed,” it means only the practice's own site says board-certified — treat that as a prompt to verify, not as verification.

Questions worth asking at a consultation

How this directory handles contact

Every profile shows the practice's public phone number and website — free, for every listing. In-directory consultation requests through this site go only to practices that have opted into the program; practices that have not opted in show a “Contact practice directly” block instead. Paid placement is always labeled, and no practice can pay for a verification badge or for organic ranking. See Certification & Methodology.

A note on reviews and ratings

Where a profile shows a rating, it comes from public place listings — not from reviews collected or verified by this site. No reviews are fabricated here, and ratings are a weak signal: small counts, no context, no verification. Treat them accordingly.
