Savings planner
How long until you can pay for surgery without borrowing? Enter your target, what you have saved, and what you can set aside each month. Nothing you type here is collected, sent, or stored: the calculation runs entirely in your browser.
Quick answer
Paying cash costs no interest. Saving first also gives the surgery decision time — a plan you can afford on your own schedule beats a financing deadline imposed by someone else.
How do you set the target?
Start from a written quote, not a list price — the procedure pages give typical cost ranges, and your surgeon's written quote is the real number. Add a buffer for the costs insurance and quotes often leave out: facility and anesthesia splits, time off work, and follow-up care.
What if the timeline feels too long?
That is information, not failure. A longer timeline may mean a smaller procedure, a different surgeon, or waiting — all better outcomes than borrowing more than the quote at a rate you cannot comfortably repay. If you do borrow, run the numbers through the payment estimator first and compare total cost.
